With Julia
I had fun at Julia Cameron's Seminar/Workshop yesterday afternoon in downtown Toronto. It got me psyched for my gig at Spezzo in Richmond Hill later that evening. It was nice of her to allow me to pose for a picture with her. I wanted it for the blog. Thanks Lilly, for the great company, and for taking the photo......the adventure continues.......

Greatness Through Distortion=Distortion In Orbit
I had a fun night hanging out at the Orbit Room. When I got home I realized that the recorded audio clip I sent to my blog was way too distorted. The great horns, drums, vocals and bass were all hidden in all the distortion. Even the picture is distorted; it was taken on my cell phone. I thought I'd still include the audio post as DNA representation of that evening. The band was great! You will just have to take my word for it...the distortion continues...

Last Night At The Wolf & Firkin
It was good to see Petah, and Debbie at the bar last night. Sheree was part of the audience (used to seeing her behind the bar). David Ellul popped in shortly. He showed me his site on a fairly large laptop he carries around(thanks for the nice words). David is a self proclaimed geek as well as a great singer and guitarist. Christopher Hollow sang a fine version of Leonard Cohen's "Closing Time". Marg's gang was there (Yay). I met some interesting people from North Carolina (Check out Jerry Lamm's audio posts). He had a great deal to say (Jerry, if you get on this site please leave a comment....your stories are great...if not....Cheers!). Jerry and Mark (from North Carolina) were there with Jen. Mark also played some guitar and Jerry sang. It was Bernice's birthday (bless that smiling woman's soul). Her and John were from England....they were a blast....a fun time at the Wolf and Firkin...the adventure continues.....

Last Night In Mississauga
Last night Randy brought his camcorder to get some footage of Boxcar Gump (checkout his audiopost from yesterday.....he's a fine story teller). It's too bad there is no recorded footage of Vimesh rapping. It was a neat mix. On the one hand you had the blues and soul of Gump's harmonica. I'm playing the funkiest acoustic licks I could find, and Vimesh is going full force uncensored. Roland the philosopher was laying down a cool hip hop groove. Vimesh's friends were very nice. I only wish TONIC would have stuck around to jam. Andre also did some singing....God Bless Mississauga...the adventure continues....

What does a Toronto pub have in common with a Cuban Sunset? ROB!! Rob, the famous bartender at the Wolf & Firkin just emailed me some incredible pictures from his 2 week trek in Cuba....mmmmm....wouldn't mind going there again. Thanks Rob. The pics look great!
